Greek owner Unit Maritime has opted to sell the 44,000-dwt bulk carrier Benita (built 1998) for demolition in India.
The ship was refloated this past weekend after spending over a month grounded off the coast of Mauritius.
Five Oceans Salvage, which refloated the vessel, said in a statement today that it had entered into an agreement with the Benita’s owner to tow the ship to the Indian subcontinent.
