Five Oceans Salvage has had to switch a tow line from the stern to the bow of a refloated bulker off Mauritius.
The company has been towing the 44,000-dwt Benita (built 1998) to a breakers yard in India this week, following its grounding in June.
It said: “The towage initially commenced by the stern but as the vessel has settled deeper into the water, towing by the stern was no longer possible and we are now adjusting the towline connection from the bow.”
