A cargoship has suffered extensive damage in a collision with a tanker off Belgium.
The incident involving the 12,600-dwt SE Pacifica (built 2009) and Columbia Shipmanagement’s 38,850-dwt products carrier King Emerald (built 2004) happened off Nieuwpoort on Saturday, the VTM website said.
Pictures showed a chunk taken out of the cargoship’s superstructure.
The report said one vessel dragged its anchor in strong winds.
