A shore-side worker has died after falling into the hold of a Thoresen Thai Agencies-operated vessel in a US Port.
The 23-year-old Mexican, named as Ramon Villalohos, suffered head and internal injuries after falling about 40 feet into a hold onboard the 43,100-dwt open-hatch-carrier Thor Horizon (built 2002).
The incident happened on Saturday evening at the Seventh Street Wharf facility at the port of New Orleans.
