San Diego-based Sempra Energy has put forward proposals to a $600m LNG receiving terminal in Texas in what would be its third planned US project.

The company has filed an application with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC to build an LNG terminal on 3,000 acres it has owned for 15 years along the Port Arthur ship canal.
