New Zealand’s Maritime Safety Authority (MSA) has begun a second investigation into a Cook Strait ferry after it collided with a local pleasure craft.
One person was killed and another injured in the collision between the pleasure craft and Strait Shipping’s 14,588-gt ro-pax ferry Santa Regina (built 1985).
Authorities were alerted to the incident, which took place on Monday at about 12:30GMT, after receiving a distress call from the Bluebridge ferry.
