It has been another good day for AP Moller – Maersk shareholders with the value of a single “A” share rising DKK 2,800 ($463), with the more widely available but non-voting “B” shares up by DKK 2,900.

Shares in the Danish shipping group are at historic stratospheric levels in the wake of the successive takeover of the rival P&O Nedlloyd liner operation and interests in ten North Sea oil and gas fields from Kerr-McGee Corp.
