Evangelos Marinakis is set to take his pre-Christmas capesize shopping spree to eight with the addition of two former Hanjin bulkers.
Marinakis-backed Capital Maritime and Trading has picked up the 180,000-dwt Hanjin Newcastle (built 2011) and Hanjin Port Walcott (built 2009), brokers say.
A price of $44m en bloc is being placed on what would continue a rare burst of second hand bulker buying from Marinakis.
