Euroseas is looking for more renewal opportunities, a key executive told TradeWinds after the shipowner confirmed the sale of its oldest bulker.

The company said today that it sold the 72,100-dwt Eleni P (built 1997), which has already been replaced by a more modern panamax.

The New York-listed owner of bulkers and containerships did not disclose the sale price, but TradeWinds reported last week that the Hitachi-built vessel was sold to Bangladeshi demolition buyers for $300 per ldt, or $2.9m.
