Meadway Shipping & Trading of Greece is said to have received a surprisingly low price for a supramax bulker reportedly sold to a Chinese buyer. Sources say the Yangzhou Dayang-built, 53,000-dwt Lark (built 2007) has gone for $7.5m.
However, the company insists that the ship has not been sold and it has been fixed out on charter.
UK-based online platform VesselsValue estimates the Chinese-built ship is worth $9.5m.
