Westshore Terminals has repeated its claim that any ban on US coal exports via Canadian ports would only hurt the domestic economy and jobs.
The Vancouver-based terminal operator said the 9.1mt of US thermal coal shipped through Westshore in 2015 represents less than 1% of global thermal coal exports.
“Banning US coal through British Columbia ports will have no impact on thermal coal consumption globally.
