Thoresen Shipping is being rumoured, after returning to profit, to be lining up another bulker acquisition on top of a purchase it confirmed this week.
Strong suggestions in broking circles at the time of TradeWinds going to press pointed to Thoresen Shipping, the Singapore-based arm of Bangkok’s Thoresen Thai Agencies, being in the process of buying Santoku Senpaku’s 58,800-dwt bulker Crystal Palace (built 2008).
