Robbers have boarded a tanker and a bulker in South America and Asia.

On 18 May, an unnamed anchored chemical carrier was raided by thieves four miles west of Lecheria in Venezuela, the IMB's piracy reporting centre said.

They stole ship’s equipment and stores and escaped unnoticed.

The robbery was not noticed until crew made regular rounds.

The dry cargo vessel was boarded on 11 May at Muara Berau anchorage in Indonesia.
