Greek owner Niovis Shipping has moved fast in finding a buyer for one of two vintage bulkers put up for sale earlier this month.
Sources say a Middle East-based buyer has acquired the Mitsui-built, 75,000-dwt Ellivita (built 1999) for $6.7m. The vessel was open for inspection in Singapore and was expected to fetch $5.5m to $6m. It is due for special survey in May 2019.
