Valhalla Management Services has achieved a higher price than expected for a supramax bulker it put up for sale before Christmas.
The STX-built, 51,500-dwt V Gannet (built 2002) is said to have been picked up by a Far Eastern buyer for $6.6m, although some brokers say the price is as high as $6.8m.
The V Gannet, which is due for special survey in February 2020, was inspected at Kandla in western India in December.
