Disposal of modern bulkers from the fleet of troubled Japanese owner United Ocean Group continues, with administrators selling the Hakodate-built, 31,000-dwt Global Peace (built 2011) to Pacific Basin Shipping.
The price is roughly in line with the $9.6m that the Mats Berglund-led company paid United Ocean for the one-year older sistership Ocean Harmony (built 2010) in March. The Ocean Harmony is now in the Pacific Basin fleet as the Olympia Logger.
