A Diana Shipping panamax bulker has been damaged after grounding in Indonesia.
New York-listed Diana says the 76,400-dwt Melite (built 2004) had been “temporarily disrupted” following the incident in Pulau Laut.
The owner says the crew are in no danger and no pollution has occurred as a result of the casualty.
“It appears that the vessel has suffered damage to her hull resulting from the grounding,” Diana said without offering further details.
