South Africa's rescue service NSRI has medevaced a crewman from a Chinese bulker off St Helena Bay.
The 25-year-old Chinese seafarer was injured following a fall on the 176,000-dwt New Taizhou (built 2010), which was at anchor nine miles offshore on Thursday.
NSRI crew were alerted by Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) following a request for medical assistance from the vessel.
