When the Latsis family opened the gates of the Pallas Athena Building at Posidonia 2014, guests were invited to celebrate the Greek shipowner's vigorous return to the business.

Its drive back into the maritime industry had seen it place orders for 12 products tankers and very large gas carriers (VLGCs) in an investment programme initiated the previous year. Eight additional new ships were added in the months that followed the event as Latsco assembled a portfolio of vessels that is worth more than $1bn today.
