Songa Bulk has confirmed the acquisition of a Japanese bulker, bringing its tally to 13 ships.

The Oslo-listed company said it has entered into an agreement to acquire an 83,494-dwt kamsarmax built in 2011 at Sanoyas.

As TradeWinds reports today on its print edition, the ship snapped up by Songa is the 83,500-dwt Harbor Hirose (built 2011).

No price has been disclosed for the deal but VesselsValue prices the bulker at $19.24m.
