Taiwan's Coast Guard Administration (CGA) has rescued all 14 crew after their cargoship sank off Kaohsiung on Wednesday.

The 3,500-dwt Honduras-flagged Ming An (built 2003) went down after sending a signal for help 36 miles off the port, the CNA news agency reported.

The CGA's maritime patrol directorate general said in a statement that a frigate and three cutters were then sent from Tainan, Kaohsiung and the Penghu Islands to aid the crew.
