Japan's MOL has found work for a new bulker with Jera Trading of Singapore.

The company said its 91,000-dwt coal carrier Nagara Maru was delivered from Namura Shipbuilding on Friday.

It was jointly developed by Namura and MOL to feature a wide-beam/shallow-draft configuration and a wide range of advanced safety and energy-saving features.

It is known as a "Hekinan MAX" and is 250 metres long to maximise transport volumes to Chubu Electric Power's Hekinan thermal power plant in Aichi, Japan.
