Greek owner Golden Union is believed to have locked one of its two kamsarmax newbuildings into a time charter directly out of the shipyard.
Golden Union has chartered the 81,200-dwt Despina V (built 2018) to ECTP for one-year, the Baltic Exchange reports.
A rate of $13,000 per day is being placed on the charter, which came on a day of improvements in both the capesize and panamax markets.
