Taiwan's Wisdom Marine Lines has seen profit cut back in 2017 despite a rise in revenue.

Pre-tax earnings were $13.98m, down 68% from 2016, it said, while revenue was up 9.59% at $362.73m.

Operating profit was $61.86m, a rise of nearly 25%.

The owner operated 124 vessels at the end of December, up from 114 in 2016.

Five ships were in drydock, while another five renewed term contracts.
