Low-profile Greek player Chronos Shipping has been linked to the purchase of a five-year old drybulker, boosting its growing panamax fleet even further.
Chronos has agreed to purchase the 80,000-dwt Key Spring (built 2012) for $22.5m from Japanese interests, London-based brokers say. Managers at the Piraeus-based company declined to comment on the information, citing standard policy not to discuss commercial matters.
