Korea Line Corp has formally put pen to paper on two contracts of affreightment (COAs) with Brazilian mining giant Vale.

The Seoul-listed shipowner said in a regulatory filing that the two 25-year contracts were worth a total KRW 649.3bn ($605.5m).

The contracts are due to start on 1 January 2020 and run until June 2045 shipping iron ore between Brazil and Yangzhou in China.
