George Economou’s DryShips is set to sell another vintage panamax bulker as values hold firm.
The 75,900-dwt Maganari (built 2001) is open for inspection from this week in Hong Kong, where it is discharging. The Kanasashi Heavy Industries-built ship is likely to fetch around $9m. Its demolition value is possibly half the market price.
New York-listed DryShips took the vessel through special survey in February 2016, when it was worth probably $3.2m
