Torvald Klaveness chief executive Lasse Kristoffersen has been named as the new president of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NSA).

Kristoffersen, who was elected to the post late last week, takes over from Viken Shipping’s Hans Olav Lindal who has held the post for the past two years.

“Norway has one of the world’s largest and most modern fleets, in recent years, the industry has been characterized by demanding markets and conversion in many of our members’ segments,” said Kristoffersen.
