A German handysize bulker pool with 18 vessels is set to go live.
Reederei Nord and Peter Dohle Schiffahrts are teaming up on a new pool focused on modern handysize tonnage that will begin operations on 1 July. Nord will contribute 11 vessels and Dohle a further seven to the Singapore and Hamburg-run venture.
The Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) will focus exclusively on eco-tonnage in a move that anticipates the premiums that owners of these ships hope to obtain when new emissions laws take effect in 2020.
