Norway's Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC) aims to add more newbuildings to its fleet with cash from a share sale.

The company said it has retained Clarksons Platou Securities as sole manager to advise on and complete a contemplated private placement worth between $45m and $70m.

This is subject to favourable market conditions, but would see the cash being put towards declaring some of its several "attractively priced" options for combination carriers (CLEANBU) at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding in China.
