Diana Shipping has tied up two more period charters for panamax bulkers at reduced rates.

Dag von Appen’s Ultrabulk has hired both the 73,500-dwt Naias (built 2006) and the 75,200-dwt Oceanis (built 2001) for between 17 and 23 months, a statement says.

Both of the ships will be hauling in $9,250 daily from the fresh pacts, meaning Diana will earn $9.4m from the deals.

Data from Diana shows each of the vessels will be earning less from their new contracts than from their previous charters.

The Naias had been collecting $19,750 daily from its work with J.
