The 32,000-dwt bulker Pos Leader (built 2006) wasdetained in Seattle over an alleged outstanding $900,000 bunker bill.
The action has been bought by World Fuel Services (WFS), in what is the secondsuch incident between the bunker giant and STX Pan Ocean in recent weeks.
Earlier this month WFS had the STX Pan Oceanchartered 35,300-dwt bulker New Ambition (built 2004) seized in Washington over$1m in unpaid bunker bills.
