London-listedHellenic has been tied to the purchase of the 76,000-dwt Red Seto (built 2002)by brokers.
It was suggested the owner hadpaid Wakoh Kisen $16m for the ship.
A source at Hellenic says thecompany is inspecting vessels but is not the buyer on this occasion.
The purchase of the Red Seto wouldhave taken the Hellenic Carriers fleet to six bulkers.
