The company said its Shreyas Relay System will handle and transport 20,000 tonsof grain per month for the state-run operation.

The contract is FCI’s first for sea transport, after it wasgiven permission for a deal from central government.

The cargoes will be taken from Andhra Pradesh to Kerala.

“This contract is expected to substantially add to the company’stop line as well as bottom line,” Shreyas said.
