Petros Pappas-backed Star has secured financing for the $60m pair from Deutsche Bank as it continues its expansion effort.
Star’s latest additions are the 98,000-dwt GL Qushan and GL Daishan (both built 2011), a statement said.
The ships, which will be renamed Star Vega and Star Sirius, will be chartered back to Glocal for 30 to 34 months and 27 to 31 months respectively at $15,000 daily.
