Chief executive Greg Wight said the Canadian shipowner is expecting the four self-unloading bulkers in the order to be delivered in 2015, although all eight handysize vessels were originally to be delivered this year.
The company is “disappointed that the delivery schedule for the Equinox-class vessels has slipped considerably from our original expectations,” he said during a conference call to discuss fourth-quarter results.
