TheNikkei business daily reported that the Japanese government is set to seektalks with Indonesia through the WTO this month.

Ifthe bilateral talks fail, the report said Japan will likely team up with China,another large buyer of commodities from Indonesia, to seek remedial action.

AnIndonesian law banning the export of unprocessed minerals, specifically nickelore and bauxite, took effect on 12 January this year.
