“Sincethere hasn’t been much demand for coal to be imported by us, the shipping plansare on the back burner,” a CIL executive told the Livemint website.
CIL mined around 462.5m tonnes of coal inthe last financial year, against the production target of 482m tonnes, as stateelectricity boards (SEBs) were unwilling to buy more power.
