Chief executive Ion Varouxakis claims the recent arrest of the 30,800-dwtFree Neptune (built1996) in Panama stems from two claims against TME, which failed to pay for fuelthat it purchased when it chartered the ship from the owner approximately oneyear ago.
"The charterer went bankrupt and didn't pay for the bunkers,"he told TradeWinds Tuesday. "Now the suppliers are doing whatever they canto try and recover the money.
