Veritas, represented by well-known Athens shipbroker Dimitris Koukas, arranged financing of $215m for the 64,000-dwt ships last week during the visit of Chinese premier Li Keqiang.
Now Chinese reports say Kouan has signed a contract in cooperation with Avic International.
It is not clear who the investors are behind Veritas.
Finance is being provided by the China National Aero-Technology Corporation of Shanghai.
