Hong Kong's Great Harvest Maeta has put the finance in place to add its latest bulker acquisition.
It is borrowing $16m from an unnamed bank, repayable over seven years.
In May, the company agreed to pay $22.8m for the 93,000-dwt Sea Star (built 2010), owned by Sea Star Ships.
The loan is backed by a first-priority mortgage over the vessel.
