Canadian shipping company Algoma recorded a CAD 15m ($14m) profit for the second quarter of 2014, compared to last year's CAD 19m.
The company said that lower net earnings were driven by a reduced contribution in domestic dry-bulk and product tankers.
The results for the six months ended in June 30 show a CAD 7m net loss, a 22% improvement from last year.
