Brokers said the 34,000-dwt bulkers will be built at Hakodate Dock for delivery in 2016 and 2018.
Last year, tough market conditions caused the owner to delay delivery of three bulkers it ordered in 2008.
The two 32,000-dwt vessels at Hakodate and a 37,200-dwt ship at Saiki Heavy Industries were said to have been put back until 2016.
They were originally scheduled for this year.
