In a statement the New York-quoted operator identified the counterparty as Tampa Electric Company (TEC).

Under the terms of the agreement ISC said it will continue to transport coal on the client’s behalf for another three years.

The operator also pointed out that the contract, which is scheduled to start 1 January 2015, includes a two-year option.

In a statement chief executive Niels Johnsen said the extension marked an “important milestone” in the quest to deploy tonnage tied to subsidiary United Ocean Services (UOS).
