Brokers say the owner has cashed in the 76,500-dwt Mulberry Wilton (built 2004) to a Greek owner.

A price of $14.6m has been placed on the vessel, which some suggest is a little low.

It comes only a few days after the Japanese owner offloaded the 208,000-dwt First Ibis (built 2010) in a deal TradeWinds placed at around $45m.

When we first reported the vessel was for sale, it was noted Daiichi was taking advantage of a low yen to push on with its financial restructuring.

Data from VesselsValue.com places Daiichi with 62 ships in the water worth a collective $1.47bn.
