It said a “leading publicly-traded mining company” has hired the three vessels, without revealing the name of the charterer.
Upon their delivery in 2015, each of the vessels will execute 45 round-trip voyages from Australia to China over a period of five years.
Star Bulk failed to disclose the financial terms of the deal and said that the freight rates to be earned will be linked to the Baltic Index C5 route.
