However, SALT will sell the vessels to a third party and there will be no involvement by its sister public company, Scorpio Tankers (STNG).
The deal has been rumoured in broker circles and confirmed to TradeWinds by Scorpio president Robert Bugbee today.
“There will be an announcement coming shortly,” Bugbee said.
The capesizes would have been delivered in 2016. After conversion, they will now see delivery in 2017, he said.
