The miner has hired the 147,000-dwt Semirio (built 2007) and the Sideris GS (built 2006), Diana said today.
Diana says the Semirio was fixed for 12 to 16 months at $10,000 daily and the Sideris GS for 10 to 14 months at the same level.
Both vessels have spent the previous two years on hire to Cargill at a slightly higher $14,000 and $13,500 per day respectively.
