It said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange that its 51%-owned joint venture Jinghai Shipping will contract three 6,600-dwt ships at a domestic yard.
CSDC already has four bulkers on order at Chinese builders.
The company also announced a profit of CNY 401.82m ($64.73m) for 2014, up from a loss of CNY 2.21bn in 2013 as revenue rose and costs were lowered.
