The 29,700-dwt Juno (built 2011) is headed to the Canadian port without the assistance of tugs after the ship was freed this morning, Polsteam press officer Krzysztof Gogol said.
As TradeWinds has reported, the vessel ran aground early Monday under the Thousand Islands Bridge near Alexandria Bay in New York state. There were no injuries or signs of pollution, but the vessel suffered damage to its bow and was taking on water.
